Reality of This World

Charity and Islam quotes: “All praise is for Allah, Who created the heavens and the earth and set a term for every living being. He has made this world a fleeting abode and the hereafter an everlasting dwelling. The wise are those who understand this reality and prepare for the eternal life.”
O people! Let it be known to you that this world is a deceptive illusion. It entices with its temporary pleasures, yet it abandons those who rely upon it. Its beauty is fleeting, and its promises are false. The one who chases this world finds himself enslaved by its desires, while the one who turns away from it gains freedom and contentment.
This world is like a shadow: it appears vast, but as you draw closer, it disappears. It is like a mirage in the desert; the thirsty one runs toward it, thinking it to be water, but finds only emptiness. Allah warns us in His Book: “The life of this world is nothing but the enjoyment of delusion” (Quran 57:20).
O servants of Allah! Reflect on the examples of those who came before you. Where are the kings who ruled with might? Where are the wealthy who amassed treasures? They are now beneath the earth, their wealth and power unable to save them. The world deceived them, and when death arrived, it abandoned them.
Know that the purpose of this world is to test you. Allah says, “And we test you with good and evil as a trial, and to Us you will be returned” (Quran 21:35). The blessings you enjoy are not yours to keep, but a trust to see how you will use them. The hardships you endure are a means to purify your soul and draw closer to Allah.
O people! The intelligent person is not the one who builds palaces in this world, but the one who prepares a home in the hereafter. The wise person is not the one who chases fleeting desires, but the one who invests in everlasting rewards. Remember, this world is like a traveller’s shade, where you rest briefly before continuing your journey.
Do not be deceived by the glitter of this life, for it will soon fade. Strive instead for the eternal home, where no sorrow touches and no blessings fade. Be humble in prosperity and patient in adversity, for both are tests from Allah.
O believers! Use this world as a bridge to the hereafter. Work in this life as though you will live forever, but prepare for the hereafter as though you will die tomorrow. Remember, true success is not in gathering wealth or power but in earning Allah’s pleasure.
May Allah guide us to see the reality of this world, protect us from its deception, and grant us success in the eternal abode.

اللہ کے نام سے جو بڑا مہربان نہایت رحم والا ہے۔
“تمام تعریفیں اللہ کے لیے ہیں جس نے آسمانوں اور زمین کو پیدا کیا اور ہر جاندار کے لیے ایک مدت مقرر کی، اس نے اس دنیا کو ایک عارضی ٹھکانہ اور آخرت کو ہمیشہ رہنے کا ٹھکانہ بنایا، عقلمند وہ ہیں جو اس حقیقت کو سمجھتے ہیں اور اس کے لیے تیاری کرتے ہیں۔ ابدی زندگی۔”
اے لوگو! آپ کو معلوم ہو جائے کہ یہ دنیا ایک فریب کار ہے۔ یہ اپنی عارضی لذتوں سے آمادہ کرتا ہے، پھر بھی ان لوگوں کو چھوڑ دیتا ہے جو اس پر بھروسہ کرتے ہیں۔ اُس کی خوبصورتی عارضی ہے اور اُس کے وعدے جھوٹے ہیں۔ اس دنیا کا پیچھا کرنے والا اپنے آپ کو اس کی خواہشات کا غلام پاتا ہے اور جو اس سے منہ موڑتا ہے وہ آزادی اور اطمینان حاصل کرتا ہے۔
یہ دنیا ایک سائے کی مانند ہے: یہ وسیع دکھائی دیتی ہے، لیکن جیسے جیسے آپ قریب آتے ہیں، یہ غائب ہو جاتی ہے۔ یہ صحرا میں سراب کی طرح ہے۔ پیاسا اسے پانی سمجھ کر اس کی طرف بھاگتا ہے، لیکن اسے صرف خالی پن ملتا ہے۔ اللہ اپنی کتاب میں ہمیں متنبہ کرتا ہے: ’’دنیا کی زندگی دھوکے کے مزے کے سوا کچھ نہیں‘‘ (قرآن 57:20)۔
اے اللہ کے بندو! آپ سے پہلے آنے والوں کی مثالوں پر غور کریں۔ کہاں ہیں وہ بادشاہ جو طاقت سے حکومت کرتے تھے؟ کہاں ہیں وہ دولت مند جنہوں نے خزانے جمع کیے؟ وہ اب زمین کے نیچے ہیں، ان کی دولت اور طاقت انہیں بچانے سے قاصر ہے۔ دنیا نے انہیں دھوکہ دیا اور جب موت آئی تو اس نے انہیں چھوڑ دیا۔
جان لو کہ اس دنیا کا مقصد تمہیں آزمانا ہے۔ اللہ فرماتا ہے، “اور ہم تمہیں اچھی اور برائی سے آزمائش کے طور پر آزماتے ہیں، اور تم ہماری طرف لوٹائے جاؤ گے۔” (قرآن 21:35) جو نعمتیں آپ حاصل کرتے ہیں وہ آپ کے پاس نہیں ہے، بلکہ یہ دیکھنا ہے کہ آپ کس طرح استعمال کریں گے۔ آپ جو مشکلات برداشت کرتے ہیں وہ آپ کی روح کو پاک کرنے اور اللہ کے قریب ہونے کا ذریعہ ہیں۔
اے لوگو! ذہین وہ نہیں ہے جو دنیا میں محل بنائے بلکہ وہ ہے جو آخرت میں گھر بنائے۔ عقلمند وہ نہیں ہے جو عارضی خواہشات کا پیچھا کرتا ہے، بلکہ وہ ہے جو لازوال انعامات میں سرمایہ کاری کرتا ہے۔ یاد رکھیں، یہ دنیا ایک مسافر کے سایہ کی طرح ہے، جہاں آپ اپنا سفر جاری رکھنے سے پہلے کچھ دیر آرام کرتے ہیں۔
اس زندگی کی رونقوں سے دھوکہ نہ کھاو، کیونکہ یہ جلد ہی ختم ہو جائے گی۔ اس کے بجائے دائمی گھر کے لیے کوشش کریں، جہاں کوئی غم چھو نہیں سکتا اور نہ ہی کوئی نعمت ختم ہوتی ہے۔ خوشحالی میں عاجزی اختیار کرو اور مصیبت میں صبر کرو کیونکہ دونوں اللہ کی طرف سے امتحان ہیں۔
اے ایمان والو! اس دنیا کو آخرت کے لیے پل کے طور پر استعمال کریں۔ اس زندگی میں اس طرح کام کرو کہ گویا تم ہمیشہ زندہ رہو گے، لیکن آخرت کے لیے اس طرح تیاری کرو جیسے کل مرنے والے ہو۔ یاد رکھیں حقیقی کامیابی دولت یا طاقت کے حصول میں نہیں بلکہ اللہ کی رضا حاصل کرنے میں ہے۔
اللہ ہمیں اس دنیا کی حقیقت کو دیکھنے کی ہدایت دے، ہمیں اس کے فریب سے محفوظ رکھے، اور ہمیں ابدی گھر میں کامیابی عطا فرمائے۔
اور آپ سب پر سلامتی اور برکتیں نازل ہوں۔
